where i left off...someone would think i died...but no im still here and so much has happened finals went well...i must say 2nd term was a sneaky one...it started off calm but hit me like a bitch in the end...the last 3 weeks school became home...we all worked our asses off...meanwhile taking turns sleeping for an hour or so...i saw my family once in a while when id go home to sleep...now that its over i remember the good most and even the bad seems sweet because it was successful in the end...actually i lied the bad is...my room's still a horrible mess and i have no motivation to clean it up...the back of my car is full of paint, bondo, sandpaper, old mailbox models, trans. hw,...ooo u name it...its probably takin' up some corner...anyways...as the term was ending...some of the guys threw out the idea of camping during break...and even though i thought it would be nice...i honestly didnt think it was gonna happen...but i was wrong...this past week shae, jeff, fanny, and i went to yosemite national park...i have never been on a trip that went so well...it was seriously one of the best times ive ever had...only four of us and we had so much crap we took two cars...while shae drove his pathfinder...fanny and i switched driving jeff's stationwagon...hehe...it was funny u had to put ur life into the gas pedal for it to go faster than 65...so we got on the road and traffic wasnt bad at all...we got to yosemite around 2pm...i felt like i stepped inside a national geographic page...it was beautiful...aside from the fact that the elevation was 6000 feet...the sky was bluest ive seen...the trees where the most vibrant green...the air was so fresh and clean...it was almost a religious experience...ahah...we got a really nice spot by the river...put up the tent in less than 10 mins(it felt like each of us already knew what we had to do..and we took our positions and just did it...it was so organized..hehe)...we unpacked our stuff...and decided to go sight seeing for the first day....we saw some gigantic trees that made me feel like i was non-existent...it was so amazing...then we went on a 3 mile simple kinda hike until we came upon some deer...had some images of us being bucked...and decided to turn around....finally we ended the day with a nice dinner around the campfire and went to bed...the second day is when the real fun started...mr.shae decided to take us up to vernal falls(elevation: 2000 ft, distance: 5 miles in total)...first off this hike was with vertical trails...every 5 steps it felt like someone punched the air out of my lungs...but wow...the cool breeze and the rich foresty smell....it was so worth it....at one point it looked like a scene from The Lord of the Rings...it was mossy and wet...cuz the closer we got to the waterfall the wetter we got...and final we were drenched from head to toe...just walking past the mist...as soon as we got to the top...fanny and i hung out under the sun...laying on the rocks while the boys hiked up higher to the other waterfall...it was so so so sooo nice...picture urself laying on really smooth rock...the air is fresh and cool...not cold....but cool...the sun is right above u...not scorching hot like here in LA...but just warming u up...and every once in a while...the mist from the waterfall lands on ur face as ur taking a nap...i couldnt freakin' believe how wonderful it was...later the boys got back and we went...we ended the day again with a nice dinner around the campfire...but this time we made smores...and played uno in the tent...and that nite i froze to death...it was so cold....so the next morning...shae directed us towards another hike...this time to Upper Yosemite Falls (elevation: 2700 ft, distance: 7 miles)...a bit harder ? eh...more rewarding...OH YEA...of course the boys were going nuts and going too fast...so fanny and i took our time and surprised the shit out of the guys when they saw us...cuz they were sure we wouldnt do it...so we finally make it up there in 3hrs...and they say to us...now lets go see the waterfall...mind you...at that elevation...its basically constant gusts of wind...and when ur going down steps that are in total a foot wide and the only safety feature is a dangling handrail on one side and straight cliff downwards on the other side...its kinda scary yea?...only a little bit...so we go to the waterfall and i look down...to where the ground is..and for the life of me...i cant believe i hiked up 2700 feet...it was so rewarding...the funny part is on the way down i had a support system going....it was soooo slippery going down so while shae was behind me yanking at my backpack when id slip...jeff was in front of me grabbing my hand helping me step down...i dont like playing a damsel in distress and i assure you i was trying my best not to need help...but oh wow...it was hard...i look down to step on a rock...and none of them look safe...but somehow i did it and its all good cuz i made it...yea!...hehe...anyways...afterwards we were all very tired and couldnt imagine making dinner...so we treated ourselves to the Wowona Hotel Restaurant..which is coincidentally...also the place where they shot a couple of scenes for The Shining...and it was creepy...as im walking up the stairs i hear the piano man playing...and all of a sudden my imagination runs wild...ooo chills...but yea...the restaurant was like stepping into a country club...we were so hungry we got 3 baskets of bread while waiting for our food...oh and the meals were 20 bucks each...yea....expensive...but it was fun and special...i felt like what new money might feel like in a place like that...so as u guessed we finished the day off with another campfire...some talking, drinking, and snacking on cookies...the next day...we packed up and drove off out of yosemite...had breakfast together and started on the drive home...later that nite..as a means of closure...hehe...we all had dinner at this realllllly good korean bbq place called Manna...anyways we hugged and said gnite...hehe...and if someone had to title this trip to yosemite...they'd call it "Fire the laser"...with shae's voice saying it and jeff repeating it...and both of them going back and forth inserting the word laser in front of everything and anything in sight...dont ask...i dont get it either...but its just one of those things...after a while....u dont get...but its been said so many times...u expect it...and its FUNNY...
It is now 12:35 AM - time for more homework!
